Violinist: Yuki Inagaki
Comp/Mix: Akira Takeuchi

‘Sakura Petals’ is a new format of music, which is the collaboration of 3D Audio + live performance. The song is based on ‘Sakura Sakura’, a Japanese traditional song. I composed this piece for

  • Violin live performance
  • 22.2 multichannel audio
  • YAMAHA AFC (Active Field Control)

like the previous exhibition at YAMAHA Ginza for our collaborative research about AFC:
RIT becomes test site for Yamaha immersive audio technology

Here is the map of our lab:

The studio (lab) is located on the second floor of Engineering Technology Hall at RIT.

I’ll also be performing with some Performing Arts Faculties at Munson Loft, titled ‘Interactive Audience Music‘ with:

– Bryant Breier
– Ethan Lin
– Joel Hunt (https://www.rit.edu/directory/jvhspa-joel-hunt)
– Paul Leary (https://www.rit.edu/directory/pxlspa-paul-leary)
– Yi-Ning Lo (https://www.rit.edu/directory/ynlspa-yi-ning-lo)
